Trout Fishing on the Truckee River is HOT HOT HOT!

Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Cutthroat Trout fishing on the Truckee River has been 'AWESOME' for the month of September and looks to be the same if not better for October!

Read some of Wayne B's HOT tips and tricks for Trout Fishing the Truckee River this Fall...

"The last three or four weeks the truckee river has been awesome. I've been tying Birds nest in olive, tan, gray and brown in sizes 16 and 14 as well as anything small with a beadhead in the same color. The October caddis pupa in size 8 and 10 has been good, plus caddis drys in brown, tan and blue wing olive drys in 14's and 16's. Before I got off the water on 9-28-05, I noticed a dark brown caddis, almost black, about size 16 (which I didn't have at the time). I will be tying it tonight for tomorrow. The high sticking technique works great for the nymphs. If you don't get a strike before the end of your drift, slowly strip in the fly. Be ready, I've been catching browns, cutthroats, and rainbows in the 10 to 12 inch range. The month of October should be just as good."

Thanks Wayne B.
